Applications
This unique trencher combines the versatility of the chain digging attachment with the mobility of a rubber tire tractor. It allows the farm drainage contractor to dig a narrow trench, minimizing soil displacement and backfilling. Wider cutters and boots can be installed for trench widths up to 28” wide and 8’ deep or more.
The 2520 shown on the left is the most sought-after machine for electrical cable installation on Wind Farms. Port Industries manufactures, rents, sells, and services all Hydramaxx wind farm trenchers and plows. Hydramaxx trenchers and plows are designed for one pass installation of electrical cable, conduit, ground wire, and caution tape. Over the past 10 years we have perfected top load and side load installation methods. Port Industries works closely with our renewable energy customers to determine which installation method and lay box option works best. We base the design on each collection system’s unique requirements regarding cable spacing and backfill/compaction coverage. Port Industries lay boxes use well engineered internal designs and components to ensure cable installation will be achieved without cable damage.
